Privacy Policy

What I collect

• Your email address, if you sign up for the newsletter or the free prequel. MailerLite also records the date you signed up, which form you used, and your confirmation of the double opt-in email.
• Newsletter activity. MailerLite may record whether a newsletter was opened and which links were clicked. I use that to see what readers care about. I don't use it to build a profile of you.
• Server logs. Like nearly every website, the server that hosts this one keeps standard access logs: IP address, browser type, the page requested, and the time. My hosting company stores them for security and troubleshooting.
• Anything you send me. If you email me, I have your email and whatever you wrote.

This site runs no analytics, no ad trackers and no tracking pixels. It doesn't set cookies of its own.

What I do with it

I use your email address to send the newsletter: one letter a month, plus a note when a new book comes out. If you signed up for the prequel, I also use it to deliver the book.

I don't sell your email address. I don't rent it, trade it, or hand it to other authors for their lists.

Services this site uses

A few outside companies handle parts of the site. Each one has its own privacy policy.

• MailerLite stores the newsletter list and sends the emails. MailerLite privacy policy
• Google reCAPTCHA sits on the signup forms to keep bots off the list. It collects device and browser information and may set cookies. Google Privacy Policy and Terms of Service apply.
• Google Fonts supplies the typefaces. Your browser requests them from Google, which receives your IP address when it does.
• BookFunnel delivers the free prequel. When you download it, BookFunnel handles that download under its own privacy policy.
• Amazon. The book links go to Amazon. Once you're there, Amazon's privacy policy applies. These are plain links, not affiliate links.

Unsubscribing and your data

Every newsletter has an unsubscribe link at the bottom. One click takes you off the list.

You can also email me to ask what I hold about you, to correct it, or to have it deleted. Depending on where you live, laws such as the GDPR or California's privacy laws give you those rights. I'll honor the request wherever you live, and I'll answer within 30 days.

How long I keep it

Your email stays on the list until you unsubscribe or ask me to delete it. MailerLite keeps a record of the unsubscribe, so you aren't added back by mistake. Server logs are kept by my host and rotate out on their own schedule.

Adults only

Every book on this site is sexually explicit and written for adults 18 and over. This site and its newsletter are not meant for anyone younger. I don't knowingly collect information from minors. If you think a minor has signed up, email me and I'll remove the address.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version goes on this page with a new date at the top. If the change is a big one, I'll mention it in the newsletter.
